How to measure for roman blinds

How to Measure Blinds

Measuring Inside a Recess

Width

Measure the width of the window recess in three places: the top, middle and bottom. Use the smallest measurement.

Height

Measure the height of the window recess in three places: at both sides and in the middle. Use the smallest measurement.

Measuring Outside a Recess

Width

Measure the width of your recess and add to it the measurement of how far you’d like the blind to finish either side of the recess. This would usually be approximately 10cm either side of the recess.

Height

Measure from where you want the top of the blind to sit to where you would like the blind to finish. This would usually be approximately 10cm above and below the recess. Be sure to consider any protrusions or obstructions too.

Fixing Height

Blind Lining

We offer the choice of two lining qulalities, both in a soft ivory colour.

Standard: Standard lining gently filters the light, giving your home a soft glow. Made from a premium quality mix of BCI cotton and polyester produced from recycled plastic bottles.

Blackout: Blackout lining eliminates light while also further improving insulation, and is therefore ideal for bedrooms to create a warm and cosy space.
